China Glaze Hologlam - Astro Hot, Infra-Red, and When Stars Collide

Hey guys! Today I have the last of the China Glaze Hologlam collection to share with you! This wraps up the warmer-toned polishes of the collection. I love that there is a nice variety - a pretty pale pinks, bright reds, and then even vampy shades! I have really enjoyed this entire collection -- while of course they can't all be my favorite, I don't think there was a single disappointing one in the bunch :)

For the last time:
  • I used Nfu Oh Aqua Base on my pinky and middle finger; no base coat on ring and index
  • I used OPI Topcoat on my middle finger; no top on the rest
  • I used 2 coats for each swatch, with some "half-coat" dabbing for patchiness
To the polishes!

L to R, top to bottom:When Stars Collide, Astro Hot, Infra-Red

Astro Hot is a pale bubblegum pink. A pretty common holo shade but it is super pretty! Another delicate shade -- if you are more into the subtle colors then this is definitely for you.

Infra-Red is a bright reddish hot pink. I know some people wish this was more of a true red holo, but since I usually find true bright reds pretty unwearable (except for maybe around Christmas) I am really happy with the pink undertones.

And lastly, my hands-down favorite of the collection! When Stars Collide is a warm deep maroon. I just love how complex this shade is. It can look brownish or purplish depending on the lighting. I must confess I struggled a bit on what color to classify it within my blog color tags... it's a mysterious one, but super vampy and gorgeous!

And that's it for the collection! Like I said, I really like the whole collection -- some great basic shades for holo beginners, but some really fun unique colors as well! I have really grown to like the smooth holo effect as well -- sure, it's not Halo Hue or Layla, but I think the crazy-holo and the smooth-holo are two different categories (at least to me) and don't really need to be compared. It's just what you like best, I guess -- and I happen to love both! :)

You may see these again in the future in some comparison posts or nail art manis -- I'm not quite ready to put these babies away yet, haha :)

You can buy these online at Sally's~ they say online they are available in-store -- not yet at my Sally's but be sure to check!

Have a great day! ♥
