Happy Halloween! Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings

Happy Halloween to you all! Today marks the very last Halloween polish I'm going to share with you guys.. and as far as polishes that scream Halloween go, I don't think you will find one much better than Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings! It's full of tons of orange glitter in all shapes, plus "whatever else is in the cauldron" -- you really could find anything in there, all shades of purple, blue, green, gold, black, white, silver, and probably more, and in all finishes (matte/satin, shiny, holo!) and shapes too. Of course, the best way to showcase this kind of polish is over a nice shiny black creme, so I used a base of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out. Check it out!

On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base Coat
2 coats Sally Hansen Black Out
1 coat Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings
2 coats Seche Vite

I just love how this mani screams Halloween; people were noticing my Halloween nails all day long and I loved it :) I almost used two coats of Cauldron Drippings, even had two coats on one nail, then realized I liked it better when you could see the glossy black shine through the glitter, so I kept it this way. Overall a great mani to end October with! And silly me, I've already started buying Christmas polishes, but... we'll save those for a bit :P I have tons of new non-Halloween indie polish that I'm super excited to show you, as well as that great giveaway that will show up soon... :)

Jindie Nails Fun House of 1000 Corpses

Hey guys! Second to last Halloween mani :) Today I have for you Jindie Nails Fun House of 1000 Corpses, a truly awesome mix of red, turquoise, green, and purple small hexes and squares, green microglitter, and green moon glitters ...all in a milky neon yellow base :P I layered it over China Glaze Sun-Kissed, a neon yellow shimmer. Check the craziness out below!

indoors, shade
outdoors, sun
 On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base Coat
1 coat China Glaze Sun-Kissed
3 coats Jindie Nails Fun House of 1000 Corpses
1 coat Seche Vite

I just love this mani to pieces! It is not your traditional pretty girly/vampy/whatever color, but it is so out there and colorful, just so fun! I really like how the milky base (I guess milky is the right word? It acts like all milky bases I've used before, but it's neon yellow...) creates that layered look with the glitters. And of course I'm a sucker for unusual glitters, so the green moons are just delightful :)

Please keep in mind I will be posting my very first giveaway within the next few days... it is quite a prize if I do say so myself and you don't want to miss it, so keep checking back! :)

Lynnderella Early Halloween - Evermore ~ Yay Girly Prettiness!

Hello, hello! In case you could not tell from my posts I have been getting a little tired of all-Halloween, all the time manis... so today I have for you a Halloween mani that is not really Halloween at all! Lynnderella Evermore is the last of the Early Halloween polishes I picked up, and one that immediately jumped out at me for all its giant-glittered, ranbow microglitter glory. The polish itself is made up of black glitter in a rainbow microshimmery base. But this is no ordinary black glitter -- it has some standard black small squares and hexes, butthen it also has medium squares and diamonds, and giant hexes, squares, circles, and hearts! I don't believe I have a single other polish with circle glitter like this, and I love it. Because I wanted a break from traditional Halloween shades, I used the base colors of China Glaze Gothic Lolita and Orly Berry Blast, which are respectively purple with pink shimmer and pink with purple shimmer. I love how it turned out!

2 coats China Glaze Gothic Lolita (purple) / 3 coats Orly Berry Blast (pink)
2 coats Lynnderella Evermore
1 coat Seche Vite
1 coat OPI Topcoat
1 coat Seche Vite

I think this is just so fun and girly! It was a great breather for me, because pretty, pink and girly is definitely something I've missed with all my Halloween polishes :) And now I'm pumped for the last two Halloween manis I have planned, so look forward to them!

I wanted to show you both hands, since I did some funky accent nails and plus to show off all the different glitter shapes :)

Hit Polish Jack-O-Lantern

Hey guys! Four more days of Halloween manis to go... today I have Hit Polish Jack-O-Lantern for you! This is a really pretty mix of yellow, orange, and brown hexes and microglitters, brown bars, and yellow flowers -- yay flower glitter! I had a hard time at first with what base color to use, and then I decided a pretty brown creme would be perfect -- so I used Zoya Nina, which turned out perfectly!

This mani is super pretty, nice for Halloween but it really is a perfect fall polish! I unfortunately did not get to wear this one for more than a few hours, so I definitely see myself wearing this exact same mani again in November :)

Cirque Colors All Hallow's Eve - Kabocha and Neko

Hey guys! Today I have for you Cirque Colors All Hallow's Eve set, consisting of Kabocha and Neko. I wore this last weekend, when I spent the evening at an all-spooked out amusement park, haunted houses and all. I've never been such a fan of being freaked out, you will never force me to watch a horror movie, but the haunted houses are growing on me :) I've always been a fan of spooky Halloween nails, though, and this fun mani was no exception! Kabocha is a super-sheer orange jelly of sorts that dries with a sort of satin-matte finish -- and of course, it glows in the dark! Neko is a black shard glitter mix with totally random-sized and shaped shards, which was fun. Of course, these are meant to go together! Check it out!

On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
4 coats Cirque Colors Kabocha
2 coats Cirque Colors Neko
1 coat Seche Vite

terribly blurry GITD
This photo was actually taken before my last glow-in-the-dark post, and I'm sorry to say it's even worse than that one... however, rest assured that Kabocha is one of the glowiest polishes I've ever worn -- it retained its glow for a long time after being charged, more than five minutes for sure! Which doesn't sound like a lot, but it sure is for these kinds of polishes. Since I wore this all night outdoors at an amusement park, when I was waiting in line for rides if there was a light nearby I would casually go stick my hand in it for a bit, and then the polish would glow like crazy :) Super fun!

Dollish Polish Spectral Pup!

Hey guys! My second post of the day... :) Halloween again! Today I have for you Dollish Polish Spectral Pup. I missed out several chances to get this one and was getting close to giving up when I found it in a blog sale, hurray! I was super happy to get my hands on this one due to its Nightmare Before Christmas inspiration, which in case you aren't aware is one of the greatest movies ever :P Plus, it is so pretty and delicate, not to mention glow in the dark! The polish is a mix of orange and white small and microglitters, white medium sized glitters, and a fair amount of holo microglitter. I really liked how ghostly it looked in the bottle and didn't want to overpower that, so I used Ozotic 527 for the base. Ozotic 527 thinks it is a light pink holo, but there really is no holo to speak of... it is a pretty neutral light pink though, a little thick but acceptable opaque in two coats, which is rare for lots of light pinks. The overall mani turned out exactly how I was hoping, check it out!

On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base Coat
2 coats Ozotic 527
2 coats Dollish Polish Spectral Pup
1 coat Seche Vite

I spent forever trying to get a good glow in the dark shot for you guys... as you might know if you've tried to do this yourself, this involves spending a fair amount of time "charging" your nails in the light, shutting yourself in a dark room, frantically taking as many terrible photos as you can until the charge wears down... and then repeating, until something becomes adequately acceptable. I finally turned to a tutorial that helped me at least capture my nails and not just the bottle... which made me happy! :)
blurry, but at least you can see it!!
I really do adore Nightmare Before Christmas, Jack, Sally, Zero, and the whole gang, (I even have the plushie Zero to prove it!) so I was really happy with this totally spot-on polish! In fact, I might just go watch the movie now :)

Zero approves!
Have a great day! ♥

First Gradient Mani -- and it's HOLO!

Hey guys! I will have another Halloween mani for you later today (gotta do it first!) but right now I have my very first gradient mani to share with you! I have been wanting to try a holo gradient for awhile now, because I think they are just so pretty and magical looking. It was sort of a fail first attempt, but I thought it would still be fun to share :)

I used two Layla Hologram Effect polishes, Coral Glam and Ocean Rush. I used my Nfu Oh Aqua Base coat first, then two coats of Coral Glam. Then, I painted Ocean Rush on just the tips of my nails. After that, came the sponging! I don't actually have any makeup sponges I could use, but I had heard of the cling wrap method, so I decided to try that. I didn't actually look at any tutorials though, I'm kind of terrible at reading and following directions :P so my method was just to cut off a small piece of cling wrap, scrunch it up so all the edges kind of met in the center, paint directly onto the scrunchy bit, and then just kind of dab it onto my nail. I first did this with Ocean Rush, and then I went over it again with Coral Glam. On some of the pictures you will also see a silly little flower glitter that I thought would be fun -- I stole it out of Rainbow Honey Sakura Matsuri Namesake. Check it out! (very picture heavy, sorry!)

outdoors, sun!
indoors, artificial light
indoors, natural light lamp
indoors, flash
indoors, window, sort of sun
indoors, window, overcast, not too holo but cute!
I think this turned out overall cute, but I wish the gradient was a bit more... gradient-y? I think next time I will not paint blue on the tips but sponge on the tips as well, to make it less solidly blue. Still, hope you like it! Have you done gradients? How did they go? Got any tips? :)

Have a great day! ♥

Shimmer and Glimmer! KB Shimmer Witch Way? + Glimmer by Erica Trick or Treat

Hi! Today I have a pretty purple Halloween mani for you. I might as well say it now, (I think I have before as well) that purple is my favorite polish color, so I totally am in love with this one! I started out with KB Shimmer Witch Way?, which is a lovely deep dark purple with tons of silver and holo glitter. I then added Glimmer by Erica Trick or Treat, which is a fun mix of purple hexes, orange and silver microglitter, reddish-orange large squares, and yellow large hexes, to half my nail. I really like how it turned out!

indoors, natural light
outdoors, finally sunny!

On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base Coat
3 coats KB Shimmer Witch Way?
1 coat (half nail) Glimmer by Erica Trick or Treat
1 coat Seche Vite

I originally put these together, just hoping they would work so I could use two of my remaining Halloween polishes in one go... :) but I really love how it turned out! I'm also just about giddy I finally was wearing a polish with holo glitter on a sunny day; it seems like my timing always sucks when it comes to photographing holo goodness, lol. I was mourning the loss of my last mani (squishy vampy goodness) after less than a day, but this one is so sparkly and amazing that it more than makes up for it :)

P.S. I have a really amazing giveaway that I've been planning for awhile and I just finished setting it up... stay tuned, you won't want to miss it!!

Lynnderella Halloween Spam!

Hi guys! I am really cramming hard to get all my Halloween polishes worn and posted before Halloween, so today I have for you a spam post of three Lynnderella Halloween polishes from last year. I don't much care for spam posts usually, but I figured throwing them all together was better than not sharing at all, so.. enjoy!

She Lived in a Swamp is a delightful mix of grass and lime green glitters in hexes, squares, and bars (the small hexes are holo!), green microglitter, and in my version, all in a green-tinted base (the 2012 version has a clear base, I believe). I used it over Milani Hi-Tech, which is probably in my top 5 favorite polishes ever, a lovely lime green holo.

outdoors, partial sun -- see the holo trying to peek out?
 On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
2 coats Milani Hi-Tech
2 coats Lynnderella She Lived in a Swamp
1 coat Seche Vite
1 coat OPI Top coat
1 coat Seche Vite

Very Pretty Vampire just kills me with its... prettiness and vampiness :P It is full of burgundy, red, and black squares and hexes in multiple sizes, with some black and red microglitter. I have the 2012 version of this one, which has a clear base, while I think the old one did not. I wanted to wear it a little different than I usually see, so I did a jelly sandwich with Zoya Katherine, which is a deep plum jelly from the Fall 2012 Gloss Collection. Super amazing, super vampy!

indoors, natural light - so glossy it was hard to focus on the glitter!
indoors, overcast (window)
On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
4 coats Zoya Katherine
1 coat Lynnderella Very Pretty Vampire
1 coat Zoya Katherine
1 coat Seche Vite

Gotta Love Brains has pink, blue, purple, and white hexes and squares, and the occasional holo bar and giant silver hex, all mixed up in a milky gray base. Often people layer this one but I chose to do it all by itself... which in hindsight might not have been the best. It kind of ended up lumpy looking, and the base covered up a lot of glitter. I guess brains aren't the prettiest things ever, but... :) I think if I wore it again I might try to layer it over another gray and see what happens.

indoors, natural light, not so bad...
outdoors, sun, lumpy, bubbly mess!
On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
4 coats Lynnderella Gotta Love Brains
2 coats Seche Vite

Must confess I am missing non-Halloween polish... even though it definitely is fun, trying to cram it all in before Halloween is tiring, but of course I should have planned better so oh well :) More tomorrow, a week to go!

Lynnderella Early Halloween - Ghost of a Chance

Hi all! Today's Halloween mani is another of Lynnderella's newest Halloween collection, Ghost of a Chance. This is such a pretty polish! It has satin-finish glitter in white, pink, yellow, lavender, and a minty green color, in hexes, squares, and a few hearts and diamonds, all in a shimmery base with super tiny holo microglitter. To keep things ghosty, I layered it over OPI Happy Anniversary, a gorgeous whitish silvery shimmer (which happened to be one of my favoritest polishes ever prior to the obsession kicking in). I really like the effect, check it out!

Apologies for the yucky cuticles; of course they don't look so bad in real life without macro, but I guess I haven't been treating them so nicely these days. I should have used another coat of Seche (or two) probably; this mani is still a little gritty, but I was in a hurry at the time. Anyway, GOAC is really pretty but doesn't scream Halloween! at all -- I am excited to use it again in the future, over pink and purple and turquoise and such for some super girly manis :)

Mask-wearing Zombies ~ Jindie Nails Zomboy + piCture pOlish Mask-a-rade

Hello! Today's Halloween post features a new-for-me brand, Jindie Nails in Zomboy! Zomboy is a lovely blurple jelly full of pink hexes, holo blue hexes, and tons of pink microglitter! It was super pretty on its own, but I got tons of nail mail this weekend :) and was dying to play with all my new polishes, so I topped it off with a thin coat of piCture pOlish Mask-a-rade, which is chock-full of multichrome rainbow glitter (said to be similar to the Ozotic Elytra polishes, but I don't have any of those so I can't say myself). The effect was totally amazing -- check it out!

Unfortunately yucky weather continues to keep me from pretty sunny pictures, boo :( But this mani is super awesome, super sparkly and shiny and luxurious looking! I really loved both polishes used to create the look, and can't wait to use them both again :)

Hit Polish Witches Brew + China Glaze Jungle Queen

Hello! Today starts a string of Halloween posts, right up to the big night, so look forward to all the spooky, sparkly fun :) Today I have Hit Polish Witches Brew for you, which is a fun blend of shiny indigo and orange medium hexes, holo green hexes, small orange hexes, and blue microglitter. I love it, super Halloween-y! I layered it over China Glaze Jungle Queen, which was a great base for this glitter. Check it out!

On my nails:
1 coat Innifree Eco Peel-off Base coat
2 coats China Glaze Jungle Queen
2 coats Hit Polish Witches Brew
1 coats Seche Vite

This was a really fun mani! I originally thought Jungle Queen would serve as more of a purple base, to make a super colorful mani, but it ended up a bit brown-looking against the glitter. I actually like the way that turned out; it looks like a pumpkin patch on my nails -- and we'll call the blue glitter bats ;) Look forward to seeing more Halloween manis in the next week and a half; I'm looking forward to wearing (and posting about) them!

a england Princess Tears + Lynnderella Shapeshifter

Hi all! Today I have a super lovely sparkly combo for you! a england Princess Tears and Lynnderella Shapeshifter are two polishes I have been wanting to wear for awhile, but wasn't sure the absolute best way to show them off. Turns out, a pretty awesome way is by putting them together! :) Princess Tears is a lovely pale lavender holo, and Shapeshifter is a glitterbomb of the very best kind, full of silver holo glitters in all sorts of shapes, like hexes, squares, bars, stars, hearts, butterflies, moons, diamonds and flowers. This was insanely sparkly and gorgeous and I had to share, so this is a picture-heavy post.:) Look how shiny!

2 coats a England Princess Tears
2 coats Lynnderella Shapeshifter
1 coat Seche Vite

1 coat Seche Vite

I actually wore Princess Tears for a day by itself first, because it is just so gorgeous on its own :) It has a very fine holo that is really pretty. Unfortunately it was overcast when I wore Princess Tears by itself, and totally pouring rain when I added Shapeshifter, so I took some lighted shots to hopefully show that holo glow off.

I loved this mani enough to wear it for about 4 days, which is forever for me, haha :) It was totally flashy and amazing, and super sparkly -- just the way I love my manis!
