Halloween Manis Galore - Zombies & Pumpkins & Skulls, Oh My!

Happy (somewhat belated) Halloween, lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I have been a bit lax in posting this month, but rest assured I have worn plenty of fun and festive manis. Rather than clogging everyone's feed with multiple last-minute posts (or even worse, waiting until next year to post) I thought I would show them all off in one post - enjoy!

First up, the mani I actually wore today - Lumina Lacquer Mick or Treat, a mix of orange, red, yellow, silver, and gray glitters (including silver Micky Mouse-shaped glitters and moons, and orange and black pumpkins!) over Glittering Elements Countess, a burgundy-leaning dark warm purple holo. Love those pumpkins! This was the absolute perfect Halloween mani.

Lilypad Lacquer Queen of Halloween is a fantastic burgundy holo. Love love love Lilypads, and this was no exception! Perfect holo effect.

LynBDesigns Fluffy Pumpkin is a pumpkin orange holo. So sparkly! This is the perfect Halloween holo.

Shleee Polish The Great Pumpkin is a mix of orange green, and black glitters and orange pumpkin glitters. I layered it over LynBDesigns Fluffy Pumpkin and Lilypad Lacquer Global Greenie, an emerald green holo. Super cute mani, love how all the colors go together!

Glam Polish Corpse Bride is a white crelly base full of white purple, and black glitters and pink skull-shaped glitters. I mattefied it with OPI Matte Topcoat. Also such a cute mani - wore this one with my favorite Jack Skellington shirt; thought it was a perfect match :)

Enchanted Polish To Die For is a mix of gray-ish purple glitters in a holo-shimmery base. I layered it over Lilypad Lacquer Black Pearl, a gray-ish lavender holo with a pink sparkle. These two go flawlessly together! If you happen to have both of these babies, you MUST pair them together - I tried a ton of combos, and this was my fave by far.

LynBDesigns This is Halloween is a coppery glitter with orange and pink/purple glitters. Over it I layered Liquid Lacquer Witchy Resting Face Syndrome, a clear base with orange, purple, yellow, and pink glitters. Must admit, I got this polish for the name alone (I may be accused of having a similar syndrome myself from time to time, lol) but I ended up loving it like crazy - and these two were perfect together!

Peita's Polish Monster Mash is a mix of red, black, and purple glitters in a clear silver shimmery base. I started out layering it over China Glaze That's Shore Bright, a neon purple creme, then layered on top China Glaze Are You Jelly?, a neon purple jelly, and finally took Saran wrap to it for a marbled look. The marbling here is super subtle, but I love the effect!

outdoors, shade

KB Shimmer You Go Ghoul! is a black jelly with purple, orange, and pink glitters. I love how dark this one reads - but the glitters pop against it so perfectly, just the perfect touch of color! Very pretty.

Shleee Polish Marion Crane is a mix of white and pink hexes, purple hearts, and hot reddish-pink skulls. I layered it over Essie For the Twill of It, a grayish purple and green duochrome. I also mattefied the whole thing, mainly because I have always wondered what a matte duochrome would look like - and the verdict is: it looks great! Loved this mani a ton; had a hard time taking it off.

Dollish Polish Walker Bait is an olive green holo. So pretty! This one was super mega holo.

And finally, Candy Lacquer Miss Halloween 2013 is a mix of pink, red, black, and white glitters - mainly hexes, some stars and hearts, and diamonds - in a clear base. I layered it over a Saran wrap marble of two unnameds - baby pink and hot pink. The pumpkins were not a part of Miss Halloween; I stole them from another polish. Such a fun look; loved it! Super loud and bright.

And there you have it! Here I was thinking I hadn't been wearing enough Halloween polish this year - had no idea I had so many manis saved up, unposted! Christmas is coming up soon... here's to hoping I have a slightly more regular posting schedule then ;)

Happy Halloween! And now... Happy November! Which, as far as I am concerned, means Merry Christmas - is it too early to put my tree up? I think not.

Have a fantastic day! ♥

Euphoric Lacquer Caution! Black Cat Crossing & Got Candy?

Hey guys! Today I have a couple Halloween manis featuring polishes from a new-to-me shop, Euphoric Lacquer! As you know, I always love trying out new brands, and I adore Halloween polishes, so I was super excited to try these babies out :)

For this one, I did a gradient of Lime Crime Lavendairy, a pastel lavender, and Pastelchio, a pastel pistachio green (over a white base of butter LONDON Cotton Buds to make the colors pop) and then I used Euphoric Lacquer Got Candy?, a clear base with a mixture of teal, yellow, purple, and pink hexes in various sizes. Loved this mani! Wore this one on October 1st - to celebrate the official beginning of holiday season in my book :)

Classic Films Nail Lacquer Halloween Collection & More!

Hello lovelies! I reviewed a bunch of fantastic Classic Films Nail Lacquer pretties awhile back, and today I have a few more to share with you. And two of them are Halloween polishes, which means yay! I love holiday-inspired polish :)

up to down, left to right: Queen of the Pirates, Gilda, Chinatown,
The Screaming Skull
The Screaming Skull is a sheer sparkly white with multi-color shifting flecks, as well as pastel blue, yellow, and pink shard glitters, and white skull glitters. I layered this over butter LONDON Cotton Buds, a white creme. I love this one! It was designed to look like sugar skull candy, and I think it hit the mark perfectly. I did struggle to get the skulls on the brush a bit, but other than that application was perfect!

3 coats butter LONDON Cotton Buds
2 coats Classic Films Nail Lacquer The Screaming Skull

Gilda is a reddish-pink shimmery base with gold microglitters and fuschia square glitters. I layered this over Essie Sure Shot, a fuschia shimmer. Very pretty! No problems here, the glitters came out of the bottle and spread across the nail very easily.

Chinatown is a shimmery sparkly gold base with holo rainbow microglitter, gold holo square glitter, and black microglitter and bar glitter. I layered it over Catherine Arley 807, a metallic gold holo. I adore this one! I love love love how sparkly and blingy it is, and the gold + rainbow is just a  perfect combo.

Lastly, Queen of the Pirates is a blackened gold shimmery base with red microglitter and white skull glitter. I layered it over Cult Nails Nevermore, my go-to black creme. This one is super complex and cool to look at - love that blackened shimmery base! Again, the skulls were hard to get out of the bottle but other than that no trouble with application.

Lynnderella Are You A Good Witch? & Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun

Hello hello! I have been playing with Halloween polishes since October 1st - time to start posting some of them! I have a ton stocked up (can't resist holiday-themed polishes, lol) so expect a lot of Halloween pretties in the next week and a half! Today I've got a couple Lynnderella glitters to share with you~

Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun is a warm-leaning multiglitter with a variety of shapes of glitters mostly leaning orange and purple in a shimmery base. I layered it over Enchanted Polish Awesomeness, a bright royal purple holo. This is a perfect combo, by the way! I love especially the way the shimmery base of Ghouls plays against the bright purple of Awesomeness. I actually wore this mani two separate times because it is just so perfect, haha.

On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
2 coats Enchanted Polish Awesomeness
2 coats Lynnderella Ghouls Just Want to Have Fun
3 coats KB Shimmer Clearly On Top

Are You A Good Witch? is a dark blurple-leaning multiglitter with various glitter shapes in a slightly blurple-tinted blue-shimmer base. I layered this over Glittering Elements Fairy Night Garden, a dark blurple holo. The blue is strong in this one, very pretty! Looks super witchy in the best of ways.

Indigo Bananas Maui Wowee, Suneater, & Klein Trink Wasser

Hello lovelies! Today I have three beauties from Indigo Bananas to share with you. I went nuts (...or bananas) over this brand just about as soon as it opened - all the colors are so beautiful and unique. Can't believe it took me so long to have them on the blog!

left to right, up to down: Maui Wowee, Klein Trink Wasser (+ China Glaze
Fairy Dust), Suneater
Suneater is a gorgeous yellow-gold holo with an orange shift. I love how obviously yellow this is - sure, it is metallic and holo-y, so it can look more gold as well. But compared to any other gold holo I have this is definitely YELLOW - which is great, because I have so few yellow holos! And then the fun orange shift is just icing on the cake.

If you like this sunny little gem be on the look out for my upcoming giveaway (I promise I didn't forget about it, it will be up any day now) :)

On my nails:
3 coats Indigo Bananas Suneater
1 coat HK Girl Topcoat

Klein Trink Wasser is a fantastically bright blue creme. Seriously, anyone who likes blue polish at all needs this one! Such a vivid shade. I was stupid and didn't get any pictures of it by itself (it was a NOTD and I was wearing a sparkly blue tank top: the opportunity to layer China Glaze Fairy Dust over it was too perfect to resist) but this one is so purdy it can more than hold its own by itself. Super lovely <3

Finally, Maui Wowee is a lovely light blue holo with a pinky-purple shift. This is a seriously pretty color; definitely reminiscent of flawlessly clear blue Hawaiian waters! The shift was hard to capture so apologies for the yucky picture, but it is definitely there and it is definitely gorgeous!

After waiting so long to try Indigo Bananas I can definitely say I am not disappointed! The holos are super strong and totally gorgeous, and Klein Trink Wasser is probably, no exaggeration, my new favorite blue creme.  Definitely look forward to trying more in the future!

Hardcore Cosmetics Swatches & Review Part 2

Hello hello! Last post I reviewed several pretties from Hardcore Cosmetics - today I have the rest of them to share with you all!

Oceans is an aqua teal with gold shift and shimmer. Very pretty! The shimmer is really strong, and really makes it glow. As with everything in the last post, no issues to report application-wise.

Mother's Little Helper is a warm light purple with turquoise shimmer. I really like this color, just my kind of purple! The shimmer contrasts really nicely with the base as well, very pretty. Again, no trouble with application.

Kerplunk is a rainbow glitter topper. I layered it here over Mother's Little Helper. Great application, plenty of glitter that spread evenly over the nail in just one coat - no complaints! Always love a new rainbow glitter.

Warning is a hard color to describe, it's a smoky chocolate brown shimmer with a strong pinkish mauve shift. Incredibly pretty shade, and great for fall! I love brown polish this time of year, and the pink shift makes it really special.
