Enchanted Polish Malibu, Regal & Petal

Hello my poor little blog! Happy 2015! I hope you have all had a great new year so far - I am back after a much-enjoyed (well, except for when I was sick... never fail to get deathly ill with the flu over Christmas break!) break, and today I have the new Enchanted Polish cremes to share with you.

left to right, up to down: Malibu, Regal, Petal
First up is Malibu, a bright sky/Robin's egg blue creme. I adore how vibrant this one is, my favorite for sure! Formula is great but can be a little runny so be careful or it will pool in your cuticles. Shown is 2 coats with no topcoat.

Next up is Petal, a hot pink/fuschia creme. Formula was great here too! It is similar to Malibu though in that you might pool at the cuticles if not careful - just make sure you don't have too much polish on the brush and that helps a lot. Two coats with no topcoat here - but this one could have easily gotten by with just one coat!

Lastly is Regal, a deep blue-toned purple creme. Formula was good just like the other two. I feel like I didn't capture the color quite perfectly, but didn't want to try to edit the color and mess it up. I think it might be a little less blue though? Either way it's gorgeous! Two coats no topcoat.

Baroness X Mele Kalikimaka~♫

Hello friends! Today I have a pretty Christmas gradient from awhile back I forgot to post earlier. I started out with alternating gradients of Aly's Dream Polish Tiffanytea, Who Sencha?, and Bohemian Raspberry, respectively an aqua blue, pistachio green, and creamy pale berry pink scatter holo. I then layered over it Baroness X Mele Kalikimaka, a mix of pink, blue, green and red glitters in a clear base. Finally, I used matte topcoat over the whole thing. I loved this mani - the glitter matched the base gradients perfectly! Take a look~

Yay Christmas! Lynnderella, Chaos & Crocodiles, & Girly Bits

Hello friends! Today I have a few Christmas manis to share with you! I have so. many. Christmas polishes to show this year, so look forward to more :)

left to right, up to down: Chaos & Crocodiles, Lynnderella Diamonds in Her
Stocking, Lynnderella Rad Red Party Dress

First up is Chaos & Crocodiles Oblizzerated, a mix of blue and silver glitters. I layered it over Girly Bits A Twinkle in Time, a silvery holo with blue glitter accents, from the December Box Indied. So pretty and wintry!

Next up is Lynnderella Diamonds in Her Stocking, a mix of various colors of diamond glitters and silver holo microglitter. I layered it over Elevation Polish Purple Queen Anthias, a shimmery magenta. So pretty! This glitter reminds me of a super girly argyle Christmas sweater.

Last is Lynnderella Rad Red Party Dress, a red microglitter with red glitter accents in various shapes. I layered it over a Different Dimension Walking in a Winter Indieland, a red holo, but I think it might be able to get opaque on its own - none of the base color shows through the glitter. So festive!

Bear Pawlish Swatchapalooza #2

Hello! Today I have more gorgeous Bear Pawlish pretties to show off.

left to right, up to down: Peek A Boo!, Apple Grass, All of Time and Space

First up is Apple Grass, a bright grass green holo. Such a vibrant green! I used three coats here.

Next up is Peek A Boo!, the most absolutely brightest most wonderful neon pink holo ever. Seriously, if I had to pick one pink polish for the rest of my life (maybe, dare I say, just one polish, period, for the rest of my life) it honestly might be this one! I love love love it. Two coats here.

Lastly is All Of Time and Space, a dusty purple holo with silver holo square glitters mixed in. It is just sheer enough that the glitters poke through the layers perfectly without creating a lumpy effect. So pretty! Three coats here.

So many beautiful colors! So much holo! So much Doctor Who! (Yes, I will include an appropriate GIF for every Doctor Who polish I ever blog about, because I just can't resist) Bear Pawlish is rapidly becoming one of my favorite brands - can't wait to play with more soon!

Bear Pawlish Swatchapalooza #1

Hello friends! Today I have some lovely Bear Pawlish swatches to share with you! This is the first time I've really featured Bear Pawlish on my blog, so I'm very excited about it! On to the pretties :)

left to right, up to down: The Ponds, See You Next Tuesday, Weeping Angels
First up is Weeping Angels, a silvery white with pinky blue shimmer and subtle holo. This polish is so absurdly pretty! It is a little sheer, but goes on great - one coat would actually look great as a super subtle, almost French mani look, but this is three coats here.

you know what (NOT) to do...

Next up is The Ponds, a lovely light, almost minty, blue-ish green holo. This polish is also ridiculously pretty! I love the blue sheen it has. Also, it is super duper holo! This is three coats here.

Lots of Lynnderellas Part II

Hello friends! Today I have a few pretty Lynnderella polishes to share with you :)

left to right, up to down: Funderland, Summer of Love 2013, Pink Starfish
First up is Funderland, a mix of rainbowy glitters in a shimmery white base. Funderland was one of the Advent LEs from last year I believe. I layered it over Jenna Hipp Daft Pink, Say Yellow to My Little Friend, We Are Mint to Be, and I Surf With Boys (and, unpictured, Ain't Life Grape? on my thumb - see swatches of these pretties by themselves here!). I love how colorful this mani was!

Next up is Pink Starfish, a mix of hit pink microglitter, pink stars, and tiny baby holo stars. I layered it over Black Dahlia Lacquer Wild Cherry Blossoms, a fantastic one coat pink holo! I love this mani, so pink and sparkly and girly!

Last up is Summer of Love 2013, a mix of all sorts of shapes of rainbowy glitter in a shimmery purple base. I layered it over Colors by Llarowe Tank Tops & Flip Flops, a medium purple holo here. Perfect combo! Confession: this mani is from over a year ago, but I still remember this as one of my favoritest polishes/combos ever - it is that great!

NOTD: Watercolor Nail Art

Hello! Today I have a fun watercolor-like mani to share with you. I first started out with a white base using Zoya Purity. Then I just dabbed a variety of random colors carefully onto my nails in a random pattern: Colors by Llarowe Grape, Tweety Bird, and Ocean Water, and China Glaze Isle See You Later, Heat Index, and Shell-o. Finally, I topped it all off with Rainbow Honey Sakura Matsuri for a little extra sparkle!

outdoors, shade
This mani is from April actually, so it was perfectly springy back in the spring :) I loved this look! Now that I've unearthed it for the blog, I really want to try this kind of nail art again... maybe in a Christmas mani?

NOTD: French Mani with a Twist

Hello friends! Today I have a simple NOTD I did awhile back for the school career fair. I needed something professional, but wasn't feeling a neutral or red or anything, so I decided to try my hand at a freehand French mani! I have definitely tried them before in the past, but that was back in what I think of as my "pre-polish days" - that is, when I wore and consumed nail polish like a normal person, instead of the obsessive kind :P So, while those past attempts were quite unspeakably ugly, I thought I might have a little more success now - and I was right!

I started out with two coats of Essie Adore-a-ball, a sheer pale pink. Then, I used the classic Essie Marshmallow, a sheer white, on the tips. I was worried about this, but it turned out quite nice! In the past I had always tried to draw on tips by just dragging the brush horizontally across the edge of my nail, which I think makes it very easy to end up with an uneven line. This time, I decided how thick I wanted the "tip" to be, then did short vertical swipes from that line to the tip of my nail. This gave me a lot more control I think, and made it easier to get the line exactly how I wanted it. Finally, to add a little kick (because I can't stand not to sparkle) I added an unlabeled iridescent flakie polish I found for some added shine :) Take a look!

I was very happy with this mani - hope you all love it too! Now that I know I can manage them, I expect I will be doing many more French tip manis in the future :)

Have a lovely day! ♥

Enchanted Polish August, September, October 2014

Hello! Today I have Enchanted Polish August 2014, September 2014, and October 2014 to share with you! As you probably know, these polishes are special in that they are mysteries - you don't know what they look like until you get them! So if you haven't gotten yours yet and don't want to ruin it for yourself, I suggest you leave now (but come back later!).

no spoilers (but look at the pretty holo reflection on the counter!)
And now for the pretties!

left to right, up to down: September 2014, October 2014, August 2014
First up is August 2014, a magical green-y teal multichrome that shifts blue and purple. It is totally mesmerizing! Two coats here.

Next up is September 2014, a bright pink-ish red holo with pink shimmer. This is soooooo beautiful, I am in love! It also happens to be quite similar to Cranberry Cosmo, which is quite difficult to find these days - so if you've dreamed of CC, this would be a much easier to obtain, just as beautiful alternative! Two coats here.
