Jindie Nails Just Elfing Around

Hey guys! Today it snowed here for the first time this year, hurray! We've been watching Christmas movies pretty much nonstop and wrapping presents and such -- so excited and it's so close! For my festive mani of today I have on Jindie Nails Just Elfing Around, which is a mix of red and white matte glitters in various shapes/sizes and holo silver/green small/medium hexes in a clear base. I layered it over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Ivy League, a shimmery bright apple green. Check it out!

1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
3 coats Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Ivy League
2 coats Jindie Nails Just Elfing Around
1 coat OPI Topcoat
1 coat Seche Vite

I am really starting to fall for all these green polishes, I must say... dare I say I think green is becoming one of my favorite polish colors these days? Maybe it's just because I am wearing it so much for Christmas that I'm getting used to it, I guess we'll see! But no matter what this mani is just so shiny and shimmery and sparkly, I don't know how anyone could not adore it! :)

Jindie Nails Grinch

Hey guys! I've got another green mani for you today... I actually used to hate green nail polish to be honest, but look at me, two green manis in a row! This is Jindie Nails Grinch, an awesome lime green base full of tiny and medium-sized red and white matte squares, red and white bars, large white squares, red hearts, and one solitary black heart -- to represent the Grinch's tiny black heart that grew three sizes on Christmas! I just love the idea behind that -- but I actually requested a few more black hearts thrown in so I could wear one each time I wore this polish :) I layered it over Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green With Envy, a lime green creme. Check it out!

I love the Grinch movie (both versions) so this is such a fun polish to have in my collection :) It was great to work with; some of the bar glitters were a bit pokey and the hearts were a bit difficult to get out (always harder in a mini, too) but it applied really nicely and lots of glitter in there! Although the pictures read a bit muted, in reality this one is very bright and in your face. Can't wait to wear it out -- I bet this one will grab people's attention!

Happy Halloween! Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings

Happy Halloween to you all! Today marks the very last Halloween polish I'm going to share with you guys.. and as far as polishes that scream Halloween go, I don't think you will find one much better than Lynnderella Cauldron Drippings! It's full of tons of orange glitter in all shapes, plus "whatever else is in the cauldron" -- you really could find anything in there, all shades of purple, blue, green, gold, black, white, silver, and probably more, and in all finishes (matte/satin, shiny, holo!) and shapes too. Of course, the best way to showcase this kind of polish is over a nice shiny black creme, so I used a base of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out. Check it out!

2 coats Sally Hansen Black Out

2 coats Seche Vite

I just love how this mani screams Halloween; people were noticing my Halloween nails all day long and I loved it :) I almost used two coats of Cauldron Drippings, even had two coats on one nail, then realized I liked it better when you could see the glossy black shine through the glitter, so I kept it this way. Overall a great mani to end October with! And silly me, I've already started buying Christmas polishes, but... we'll save those for a bit :P I have tons of new non-Halloween indie polish that I'm super excited to show you, as well as that great giveaway that will show up soon... :)

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Burgundy Orchid + Rainbow Honey Frozen Flame

Today I have a lovely oldie-but-goodie for you, Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Burgundy Orchid. I have had this polish since I was a child, long before this polish obsession kicked in, and certainly before I knew how special holos and duo- and multichromes were (I doubt the words ever crossed my mind until a couple years ago, actually). I just knew these polishes were pretty. And pretty it is! Burgundy Orchid is a lovely purple-red-gold multichrome. It has an insane color-shifting effect -- in person it will never just look like one color, the edges are always red or reddish gold. It's truly stunning on its own, but I also decided to complete the mani with Rainbow Honey Frozen Flame, which is a fun mix of small blue and orange hexes, small silver holo bars, and large gold holo bars. The gold bars did have some trouble lying flat, but I personally love bar glitters so I just trimmed 'em down and was happy. I really like the way these two polishes looked together, check it out!

It really kills me that I used to have tons of these polishes back in the day, but threw all but one away due to the formula getting all mucked up. If only I'd known of Seche Restore back then, so many polishes would still be with me today... at least I was able to hold onto this one though :) And it is positively gorgeous, so I guess I lucked out.

Lynnderella Early Halloween - Nightshade

Hi lovelies! I have something extra special for today. As you might know Lynnderella recently released a new collection called Early Halloween, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the new shades -- which just happens to be my favorite of the collection! Nightshade is a gorgeous mix of navy and black glitter in different sizes and both hexes and squares, as well as a decent smattering of small purple/indigo hexes, and tons of holo microglitter in a clear base. It applied totally perfectly for me -- no glittering curling on this one! The glitter is dense enough that I think with 3 or 4 careful coats you could probably get it opaque if you wanted (I tested this out on my thumb and it was mostly good at 3 but still a little patchy)  -- but as for me, I went with a base of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blazing Blue, which is a pretty navy blue shimmer. I took tons of pictures trying to capture the amazingness of this polish, so check it out below!

1 coat Orly Bonder
2 coats Sally Hansen Blazing Blue
2 coats Lynnderella Nightshade
1 coat Seche Vite
1 coat OPI Top Coat
1 coat Seche Vite

This one was pretty topcoat hungry, so I had to do what I call a Seche sandwich -- two coats of Seche with regular topcoat in-between to get that glassy finish. But the gorgeous sparkle is so so worth it! Below I have a couple of blurry pics that show the holo really well.

I just adore this polish so much! It has that night sky vibe going on, but with all that black glitter it is just a touch more mysterious -- like a night sky with witches flying across it on their brooms! :) Perfect for Halloween in that sense, and pretty enough to be perfect all year round. Love it.

Lynnderella Lucky Numbers

Hello! Today I have for you a polish I have loved for a long time, and recently got my hands on. Ever since I saw More Nail Polish's lovely post on Lynnderella Lucky Numbers, I have thought it was just so incredibly lovely -- the mix of glitters brings to mind playing cards, especially on a white base, and that strong pink shimmer is absolutely gorgeous.

Of course those who have tried know obtaining Lynnderella polish is not the easiest.. however as she has recently been offering lots of her polishes for BIN prices on eBay, I took the chance to add some of my favorites I'd been missing to my collection. Hurray for longtime lemming fulfillment!

Lucky Numbers is a mix of black and red glitters in all sorts of shapes and sizes -- hexes, bars, and squares. Applying was not a problem at all -- I do sometimes have trouble applying Lynnderella glitters, in terms of not spreading out evenly over the nail or sticking up, but this one applied flawlessly and laid flat. The best part, as stated, is the prominent pink shimmery base! I think it adds so much to an already lovely glitter combo. Layering it over a white creme really helps to show off that shimmer. (You can see it best zooming in to the pictures and on the black glitters, but in real life it is super easy to see!) Check it out below!

Alas, it is pouring rain outside so no sun pics... however, even from these shots you can see how it just glows with that shimmer :) I know some people might have their qualms with Lynnderella but you can't deny her polishes are just lovely! After this mani I can safely say I love Lucky Numbers just as much as I thought I would :)

Have a great day! ♥
