Happy New Year's Eve!

Happy New Year's Eve! Hope you all had/are having a great day/night! For my NYE mani I wanted a super blingy black and gold look. I started with Colors by Llarowe Vincent, a black creme. I then painted half my nail with Enchanted Polish Flashing Lights, a gold holo microglitter, and half with Lumina Lacquer The Snow King, a mix of various gold, silver, and pinky purple glitters. Super sparkly, exactly like I wanted! Take a look:

Happy (6th..) of July!

Hello friends! I hope all my American readers had a lovely holiday weekend. I have been so busy with family, fun, and festivities that I didn't get a chance to post my manis -- but better late than never!

At the beginning of the week, when I was first feeling in a 4th-y mood, I did a skittles mani with 2 coats each of Elevation Polish Bohai Sea, a deep sky blue creme holo, Enchanted Polish Stay Classy, San Diego, a pinkish red creme holo, and Lilypad Lacquer In the Milkyway, a whitish creme holo. I then topped it all off with Lumina Lacquer Young Americans 2.0, a red, white and blue glitter bomb! This was super fun - a great way to kick off July!

For the actual day, I wanted to try some fancy firework nail art. I started with Aly's Dream Polish Patriotic Blue, a blue scatter holo with glitter, Colors by Llarowe Bea Stings, a pinky red glittery holo, and China Glaze Glistening Snow, a silver holo microglitter. I then used Bea Stings and Patriotic Blue to paint on a firework design (I used my dotting tool like I do for all nail art, because nail art brushes and I don't really get along very well) and put tiny star rhinestones in the center of each firework. I finally topped everything off with Orly Shine On Crazy Diamond, a silver holo microglitter topcoat.

I really liked both of these manis! The glitter for the first one was the absolute perfect 4th of July glitter, and blended really well with all base colors without clashing or blending in to any of them too much. And I love trying new nail art designs, so the fireworks were really fun, even if they didn't turn out as great as I was hoping they would, lol. But I got lots of compliments on both and I definitely felt patriotic, so mission accomplished!

Halloween Manis Galore - Zombies & Pumpkins & Skulls, Oh My!

Happy (somewhat belated) Halloween, lovelies! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I have been a bit lax in posting this month, but rest assured I have worn plenty of fun and festive manis. Rather than clogging everyone's feed with multiple last-minute posts (or even worse, waiting until next year to post) I thought I would show them all off in one post - enjoy!

First up, the mani I actually wore today - Lumina Lacquer Mick or Treat, a mix of orange, red, yellow, silver, and gray glitters (including silver Micky Mouse-shaped glitters and moons, and orange and black pumpkins!) over Glittering Elements Countess, a burgundy-leaning dark warm purple holo. Love those pumpkins! This was the absolute perfect Halloween mani.

Lilypad Lacquer Queen of Halloween is a fantastic burgundy holo. Love love love Lilypads, and this was no exception! Perfect holo effect.

LynBDesigns Fluffy Pumpkin is a pumpkin orange holo. So sparkly! This is the perfect Halloween holo.

Shleee Polish The Great Pumpkin is a mix of orange green, and black glitters and orange pumpkin glitters. I layered it over LynBDesigns Fluffy Pumpkin and Lilypad Lacquer Global Greenie, an emerald green holo. Super cute mani, love how all the colors go together!

Glam Polish Corpse Bride is a white crelly base full of white purple, and black glitters and pink skull-shaped glitters. I mattefied it with OPI Matte Topcoat. Also such a cute mani - wore this one with my favorite Jack Skellington shirt; thought it was a perfect match :)

Enchanted Polish To Die For is a mix of gray-ish purple glitters in a holo-shimmery base. I layered it over Lilypad Lacquer Black Pearl, a gray-ish lavender holo with a pink sparkle. These two go flawlessly together! If you happen to have both of these babies, you MUST pair them together - I tried a ton of combos, and this was my fave by far.

LynBDesigns This is Halloween is a coppery glitter with orange and pink/purple glitters. Over it I layered Liquid Lacquer Witchy Resting Face Syndrome, a clear base with orange, purple, yellow, and pink glitters. Must admit, I got this polish for the name alone (I may be accused of having a similar syndrome myself from time to time, lol) but I ended up loving it like crazy - and these two were perfect together!

Peita's Polish Monster Mash is a mix of red, black, and purple glitters in a clear silver shimmery base. I started out layering it over China Glaze That's Shore Bright, a neon purple creme, then layered on top China Glaze Are You Jelly?, a neon purple jelly, and finally took Saran wrap to it for a marbled look. The marbling here is super subtle, but I love the effect!

KB Shimmer You Go Ghoul! is a black jelly with purple, orange, and pink glitters. I love how dark this one reads - but the glitters pop against it so perfectly, just the perfect touch of color! Very pretty.

Shleee Polish Marion Crane is a mix of white and pink hexes, purple hearts, and hot reddish-pink skulls. I layered it over Essie For the Twill of It, a grayish purple and green duochrome. I also mattefied the whole thing, mainly because I have always wondered what a matte duochrome would look like - and the verdict is: it looks great! Loved this mani a ton; had a hard time taking it off.

Dollish Polish Walker Bait is an olive green holo. So pretty! This one was super mega holo.

And finally, Candy Lacquer Miss Halloween 2013 is a mix of pink, red, black, and white glitters - mainly hexes, some stars and hearts, and diamonds - in a clear base. I layered it over a Saran wrap marble of two unnameds - baby pink and hot pink. The pumpkins were not a part of Miss Halloween; I stole them from another polish. Such a fun look; loved it! Super loud and bright.

And there you have it! Here I was thinking I hadn't been wearing enough Halloween polish this year - had no idea I had so many manis saved up, unposted! Christmas is coming up soon... here's to hoping I have a slightly more regular posting schedule then ;)

Happy Halloween! And now... Happy November! Which, as far as I am concerned, means Merry Christmas - is it too early to put my tree up? I think not.

Have a fantastic day! ♥
