Victoria Volainna Designs Swatches & Review

Hi guys! I have another new indie brand to share with you today! Victoria Volainna Designs is a new Etsy shop with a bunch of pretty shimmery glitter polishes. What makes this shop especially cool for me is that it is based in my very own hometown! Awesome to know there is an indie polish maker so close to home :)

left to right, up to down: Tide Skipper, Druid, Leandra
First up is Leandra, a shimmery red base with orange, red, copper and black microglitter. I tried this one last but the first two I needed a base color for, so just to be safe I layered it over Deborah Lippmann It's Raining Men, a bright red creme. It applied really nicely, and there was plenty of glitter in each coat. I really like how there is a slight pink flash in the base, very pretty!

Druid is a sheer peachy shimmer with a pink flash and tiny iridescent bar glitters. I had a hard time finding the perfect base color for this one - I don't have anything that is the exact same shade, so I ended up using China Glaze Sun of a Peach, a peachy orange neon. This base brightened the polish considerably, but still showed off the pretty shimmer and the pink flash, which is my favorite part! Like I said this one is really sheer, I had VNL with even four coats I think, so layering is definitely the way to go. Very pretty though!

Lastly, Tide Skipper is a sheer shimmery lavendar base with orange, brown, green, and aqua microglitter. I layered it over Zoya Malia, a medium lavendar creme. This one is the same style as Leandra (shimmery base loaded with microglitter) and application was similarly pretty good, no issues to report. This is definitely my favorite! I like the combo of glitters, and I'm always a sucker for a good purple polish :)

I really liked these! The two microglitter shimmers were great, the glitters went really well together with the shimmery base I think. Application was a breeze on all of them, even if they were quite sheer on their own. Overall I was very pleased :) And I love that these a product of my own city! I always love meeting fellow polish addicts that live nearby, and to meet someone local who actually makes the polish is that much cooler :)
