Hare Polish Golden Years

Hi guys! I have another pretty Hare Polish to share with you today. Golden Years is an amazingly complex polish that I am not sure I can do justice in describing -- it's a navy jelly packed with all sorts of lovely gold and blue glitter, in varying sizes and shapes. Lots of people layer this polish it seems but I decided to wear it on its own, and I loved it. Check it out!

 On my nails:
1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
3 coats Hare Polish Golden Years
1 coat Seche Vite

I don't know how Nikole managed to do it, but this glitterbomb was basically completely smooth and glassy with just 1 coat of topcoat -- must be magic, but even if I was surprised I'm certainly not complaining! I think this polish has a lot of depth and complexity to it, really lovely to look at. It does seem that at 3 coats, there is so much glitter packed into the mani that the gold overpowers the blue a bit and it reads very green, so in the future I would really like to try layering it over navy perhaps so I can let each facet of the polish shine. Very pretty though!

Lynnderella Season's Glitterings + L'Oreal The Queen's Ambition

Hi guys! So I have to confess, I still have a few Christmas collection polishes I haven't even worn yet, much less shared... nothing too festive or anything (if not for the holiday-inspired names, no one would even know) but I want to get them taken care of before I transition into Valentine's Day polishes for sure. So today, I have the dazzling Lynnderella Season's Glitterings to show you! It is impossible to even begin to outline all the glitter packed into this polish -- basically holo rainbow glitter in every shape and size you can imagine (bars, hexes, giant squares, gold and silver stars and baby stars, among others most likely) mixed with a TON of silver microglitter. I love my rainbow glitters against black so I can appreciate them, so I layered it over L'Oreal The Queen's Ambition, my trusty black with its own silver microglitter. In hindsight, this may have caused a bit of a silver microglitter overload, haha... but it sure was sparkly! Check it out:

-----
1 coat China Glaze Matte Magic

I couldn't resist mattefying it to see what would happen:

Insanely sparkly, this one! I'm not sure I have any other polishes that are all rainbow holo goodness like this, and then with all the shapes I have to say it's quite the fun polish. I almost wish there was a little less silver microglitter though, because it is a bit overpowering... in the last picture I have my thumb included to show off my favorite giant square glitter -- but there's so much microglitter it almost looks like I used a silver base! Probably the best way to go with this polish is to dab on 1 coat, so you don't get too much microglitter (unless you like it that way of course) while getting enough of the large rainbow glitters. Overall I adore this though! Too sparkly and colorful not to :)

Hare Polish Atolla

Hi guys! I have my very first Hare Polish lovely to share with you today, I'm so excited! I have loved Hare Polishes from afar for quite awhile (they can be pretty tough to snag sometimes since they go so quick, as I am sure some of you may know) but shortly before Christmas I was able to grab a bunch of them (Merry Christmas to me!) and I am thrilled to finally wear one! Like I said I have several but I plan on spacing them out over time, so look forward to all those sure-to-be-pretty posts :)

Today, we have Atolla, a deep reddish pink jelly with tons of tiny iridescent purple/blue glitter from the Illuminated Life collection. I adore these polishes so much because with that abundance of iridescent they really do have an ethereal glow to them -- totally beautiful, and totally mesmerizing. Atolla seems pretty red in the bottle, but it actually is a fairly squishy sheer hot pink on the nails. Check it out!

I just can't get over how much I love this one! I wore it for like 3 days, which is practically unheard of for me, haha -- it even chipped after 1 day, which is usually call for an immediate new mani, and I carefully retouched it because I just couldn't part with the mani yet! I couldn't stop staring at it, so pretty. Hot pink isn't really my favorite polish color anymore, but there is way too much going on in this gorgeous polish to call it just a hot pink -- it is complex and amazing, and I am dying to wear the rest of the collection!

BG Cosmetics - Steampunk Heart and Faerie Dust

Hi guys! Today I have a new indie brand to share with you, BG Cosmetics! (who also goes by Bitch Glitz.) I was sent two polishes to share with you, so here we go!

Steampunk Heart is a metallic gold with clear iridescent large hexes/stars and small holo gold hexes. I really like this shade of gold -- very yellow-toned but somehow still soft enough to look nice on my skin. The clear glitter is a nice touch -- it sometimes barely shows up on the mani but then the light catches it right and it shines through, a very cool effect! Application was a bit strange though -- the base applied perfectly in 2 coats, no brush stroke problem like I was expecting, but the glitter required a lot of effort and arranging to get it to lie flat and where I wanted it on the nail, which could mess up the application of the polish itself. Overall it was kind of a difficult polish to work with because of that, but I would say that if you like this metallic shade of gold and the clear glitter seems cool to you, the effort is worth it. I ended up liking this more than I thought I would; it really grew on me.

-for pics -- meet my right hand! I liked the way the glitter turned out better on it. And therefore, thanks to my dad! He helped me take pictures; my left hand was too shaky to hold the camera :) -

1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
2 coats Bitch Glitz Steampunk Heart
1 coat Seche Vite

Faerie Dust is a plummy reddish purple shimmer with silver microglitter and tiny black bar glitters thrown in. It wasn't sheer exactly, but I think my (since trimmed) nails were getting so long that 2 coats just didn't quite cover my nails, so I used 3. There isn't all that much glitter it seems; the bars were pretty sparse, but they made it more interesting. It was actually a little metallic it seemed and ending up showing brush strokes more than I expected -- perhaps if I was more careful I could have avoided it more.

Overall, I ended up liking Steampunk Heart quite a bit, but Faerie Dust isn't quite for me. I think it is probably the finish, which just isn't my favorite, even if the color itself is pretty. I think the hidden glitter look of Steampunk Heart is really cool, even if it was a pain to apply. I am always willing to put in a little extra effort for pretty nails though -- totally worth it!

Jindie Nails Dream in Color

Hey guys! Today I have another fun Jindie Nails polish to share! Dream in Color is another one of those polishes full of tiny matte glitters (in the same vein as Noel) -- in this case, it's a colorful explosion of green, yellow, pink, blue, white, and black. I think these types of polishes are so interesting, especially up close where you can see all the crazy color in detail. I really should try layering one of them some time just to see what it's like, but I couldn't resist wearing this one on its own -- check it out!

1 coat Innisfree Eco Peel-off Base coat
3 coats Jindie Nails Dream in Color
1 coat Seche Vite

This was pretty gritty if I recall, so it is probably a good idea to use more than just the 1 coat of topcoat that I used. So very pretty though! From far away it probably takes on a grayish green appearance -- a flattering, attractive one, I remember really liking it -- but I just love all the colors that show up in macro shots, so pretty :) I must admit I did not really care for this style of polish at first, but they are so cool, they are definitely growing on me!
